Savvy Research is a collective series of seminars and workshops organised by the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Libraries and are aimed at postgraduate students. The series targets all aspects of the postgraduate experience, covering numerous topics that feed into the research cycle.

Vancouver Citation and Referencing Style
This session introduces Vancouver referencing style to postgraduate students.The Vancouver referencing styleis a numeric style used in medical sciences. References in text, tables, and legends are numbered consecutively in the order they are cited in the text using Arabic numbers.

Effective Publishing Strategy
The training covers publishing and examines journal publishing in more depth. It also looks at how researchers can maximize the impact of their research through a variety of means such as collaboration, increasing discoverability and visibility, and how to communicate, promote and monitor research output.
